Rain at Gray Lodge Wildlife Area
I headed out this morning to scout an area known as Gray Lodge Wildlife Area which is managed by the California Department of Fish & Game. The weather was pretty overcast on the way out and I was hoping for a bit of sun. I didn’t get any sun but I got to use my trusty microphone umbrella. Most of the migrating waterfowl that I had seen on my initial visit a few weeks before was gone, but the American Coots, Northern Shovelers and of course the Mallards were still there.

Gray Lodge is splendid.
I can’t seem to figure out why I can’t play your recordings. Maybe a good night of sleep will fix that problem.

Do you use a Mac, I have no way of testing mac hardware. The button links to an m3u file which is a playlist linking to the sound, maybe you can check if your audio applicaion knows what to do with an m3u. Or try right clicking on the “Listen” link and “copy link location” then paste that into your audio player. See if that works.
